Check out this lovely, updated website... now!
I was just grabbing the URL for the English Dept. in Portland and noticed... hey... this website looks different! Just passing along the word. If you've got a few minutes today, you should check it out in all its newness. :) The talented Elizabeth Dye is the shop owner and curates her charming Downtown Portland boutique like it was an art gallery for all things pretty and sweet. You can try on and buy Twigs & Honey pieces here too. If you ever pass through Portland, be sure to stop by. You will ALWAYS find something beautiful. Pssst... and don't forget their fashion show on January 31st at Ace Hotel in Portland.
Magnet Makeover

Before you toss out those ugly magnets you keep getting from random places, consider giving them a makeover. That is what we did with this large "advertisement" magnet and these three broken magnets.

For the large magnet:
1. Peel off the glossy top layer of the magnet to expose the paper underneath.
2. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge.
3. Place a piece of pretty paper on top (we used Mint Julep).
4. Add rub-ons (we used Mimosa's words and designs).
5. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge on top.
For the small magnets:
1. Pull the magnet part off a broken magnet or buy some.
2. Add an epoxy sticker (we used Mimosa's).
This is the same technique Dotty used for these Dill Blossom magnets.

Real Bride Shannon
There's a new photo of the month! Shannon, a stunning bride with the prettiest red hair, emailed me this lovely photo of her wearing a Twigs & Honey handmade silk flower. Her wedding was recently featured at Green Wedding Shoes and you can view more photos from her beautiful, whimsical wedding HERE.
